Email Address

We collect your email address for account creation, communication, and service-related notifications.

Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs)

When you use the optional VIN Lookup feature, the VIN characters you enter are sent to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) public API to retrieve vehicle information such as make, model, year, and trim. VINs are not stored by TowSafe beyond the current session. We track a daily count of VIN lookups per user for rate-limiting purposes only — the actual VIN values are not retained.

Payment Information

TowSafe does not collect or store any payment information.

All payments are securely processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe.

TowSafe never has access to your full credit card number, bank information, or other sensitive payment data.

How We Use Your Information

We use your email address only to:

• Create and manage your account

• With the NHTSA VPIC API (a free U.S. government service), solely for VIN decoding when you use the VIN Lookup feature
• With Stripe, solely for payment processing

Data Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. While no system is 100% secure, we strive to use commercially acceptable means to safeguard your data.

Data Retention

We retain your email address only for as long as your account is active or for 90 days after cancellation as necessary to provide our Services and comply with legal obligations.

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications
